Knights of Harrow:

As English as it gets! Artisan lugwork and finishing on this delightful Reynolds 531 framed bicycle. Simplex dropouts and the most fabulous lugs I have ever seen… Frame and forks were restored last year at Bob Jacksons fine establishment in Leeds.

I love riding this bike, it has a real “go anywhere” feel ( I think that is partly down to the rim and tyre choice). Its my “go to” bike whenever it raining as its got great Blumells alloy gards and grippy new Continental Gatorskins, mounted on lightweeight Weinman rims, built on polished early Campagnolo high flange track hubs.

  • Early ’50s Campagnolo Gran Sport deraillure, 14/28 tooth freewheel
  • Gran Sport pedals, clips, leather straps.
  • Beautiful cottered steel crankset and BB with polished TA chainwheel
  • Very early Mafac Dural forged brake set, part NOS (providing meaningful braking even in rain) with super rare “half hoods” and lovely period cables.
  • Beautiful early handlebar and stem set with Brooks leather bar tape. Mmmmmm!
  • Brooks Chrome rail saddle. Very comfortable.
  • Lovely frame mount alloy pump
